I realize that this photo isn't particularly clever or artistically brilliant, but it is important to me because it completely captures and portrays the happiness of the summers of my childhood. The picture was taken at an old cottage in northern Michigan that my family has spent a few weeks at every summer for as long as I can remember. This photo is actually a recreation of one from when we were much smaller (which I will try to find and post as well) but the idea that we can still come to this one static place despite how we've all grown and changed in the past 20 years is beautiful to me. I love that one photograph can evoke so many memories and emotions.
